Compassion

Compassion requires leadership.

Without leadership, compassion is merely empathy. But when we lead someone into a better life...when our charity leads to a life transformed, then we have shown compassion.

Compassion isn’t just an emotion. It is an embodiment of love. It is how Jesus leads. He is our shepherd. He leads with compassion. And asks us to do the same.

“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.”
