Slippery When Wet
“Occasions for stumbling are bound to come, but woe to anyone by whom they come! Luke 17:1
I hate admitting my own stupidity. I feel like God has given me much to offer that when I admit Ive fallen, it negates all those good seeds Ive sewn.
So it is with abundant embarrassment that I tell you that I tried to walk on water this weekend and failed miserably. I actually slipped on wet pavement near our garage and fell and broke my wrist. I cried and screamed but am probably hurt more in my pride than any thing else. After all my health problems over the past six months, I hate telling you one more thing thats gone wrong.
I thought about hiding it but its pretty obvious when you see me. All I can do now is listen to the doc and wait to heal.
Jesus says we all will stumble. I’m not sure if he meant it quite so literally but the result is the same. Falling or sinning can be embarrassing and cause woe and cant always be hidden.
Luckily we have a forgiving God who will love us no matter how many times we fall and will make our boo boos all better.
Until Everyone Hears,
I'm sorry, Shannon. That's gotta hurt. Add to it the frustration of trying to do everything one-handed in the meantime. Hope you heal well and quickly.
