I Got Stoned

They stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead. But when the disciples surrounded him, he got up and went into the city. The next day he went on with Barnabas to Derbe. Acts 14: 19a-20

I recently had another minor health set back. On Monday I started having stomach pains and nausea again. I ended up in the ER (why do these things always happen in the middle of the night?). After some tests, they found out that I have gallstones. They think that these could be causing my set backs. Of course there are somethings uncharacteristic about gallbladder disease that make them think that there are other issues and that the gallstones have nothing to do with my symptoms.

I’m seeing a specialist tomorrow and it looks like my options will be either gallbladder removal or another surgery to see if I’ve got complications from my surgery this past fall. I feel more tests in my future.

So what did I do after my night in the ER? I took some meds and slept most of the day. Paul was stoned, left for dead and got up to do mission work the next day. I kind of feel like a slacker. Maybe his stoning was just a minor one and he could tape it up and walk it off. Or maybe, just maybe God has a purpose in all this for me.

I think I’ll go with the latter.

Until Everyone Hears,

Theres no slackard in you..When Paul got up, he didnt have 3 children to play with and do homework with and wash clothes for.
and neither did he have a "love" who would support him in his pain. So he had to get back to work to get some sympathy and TLC.
Rest in the Lord..maybe a lesson to learn?

    Hi Shannon,

Healthline.com recently launched a free interactive "Human Body Maps" tool. I thought your readers would be interested in our body map of the Gallbladder: http://www.healthline.com/human-body-maps/gallbladder

It would be much appreciated if you could include this tool on http://drk-shannon.blogspot.com/2011/03/i-got-stoned.html and / or share with friends and followers. Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you in advance.
