Choosing Truth in a World of Uncertainty

Pontius PIlate, Holy Week, Truth

Have you noticed how the world is constantly pulling us toward different paths, pushing us to chase after things that promise happiness or fulfillment but ultimately leave us feeling empty? Maybe it’s the pursuit of success, wealth, or societal approval that has us spinning, or maybe it’s the guilt of our past keeping us from experiencing true peace. No matter where we turn, it’s easy to find confusion, distractions, and fleeting solutions. But what if the answer isn’t in what we’re chasing but in who we’re ignoring?

The Bible points us to a definitive truth, spoken directly by Jesus Himself in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Here’s the reality—the freedom we’re seeking and the direction we crave all hinge on accepting this truth. Through Jesus, we discover clarity where there was confusion, hope where there was despair, and life where we were just surviving. He’s not just a way; He’s the way.

A Fresh Start Awaits You

Maybe you’ve been carrying the weight of guilt or regret for far too long. You might feel like you’re just stuck in a cycle, weighed down by past mistakes or feeling unworthy of the love God freely offers. But here’s the good news—Jesus invites us to lay it all down at His feet. All of it. The burdens, the doubts, the striving—it doesn’t belong to you anymore. He bore it all on the cross so you could walk in freedom.

This week, take some time to reflect on the way you’re living right now. Are there areas in your life where you’re relying on yourself or seeking answers outside of Christ? Maybe it’s time to pause and ask, “What am I chasing after? And is it leading me closer to Jesus, or pulling me further away?”

Recommit to the Truth

If you’ve already accepted Jesus as your Savior, now is the perfect time to revisit that moment. Think back to your baptism—how you felt cleansed, renewed, and embraced by a love greater than anything you could imagine. That same love hasn’t changed, but maybe it’s time to renew your commitment to live fully for Him. Recommit yourself to the truth that Jesus offers, and allow it to transform every part of your life.

What Will You Do with Jesus?

Every single day, Jesus stands before us, calling us to something bigger than ourselves—a life where the truth brings peace, joy, and purpose. The question is, what will you do with Jesus today? Will you invite Him into every corner of your life, or will you leave Him waiting at the door? The choice is yours, but His arms are wide open, ready to carry your burdens and fill you with His truth. Today is the day to choose Him. Will you step out in faith and follow His way?

It’s time to stop searching and start trusting. What will you do with Jesus, who stands before you as Truth today?

Until Everyone Hears,
