Rather than rushing from one task to the next and ending the day with disappointment, frustration, and anxiety, let us “lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith” (Hebrews 12:1–2)

May I suggest that when we feel in a hurry, in ways that cause anxiety, that we pause. Take a deep breath. Feel the presence of God. And know that God is with you. It won't catch you up on your project or whatever you're in a rush to do. But it will remind you that there is a presence bigger than you that is greater than the human standards of time. In fact, that presence, is timeless. And that is something to celebrate.
