The Holy Spirit: Purple

faith, prayer, #holymischief

When the Spirit moves...

This week our staff did a creative exercise led by Erin Drez from A Cup of Kindness Coaching. She had us spend some quiet  time looking at this painting and write what we saw. Just prior, she had us pick out our favorite color colored pencil and say what that color made us feel. I chose purple and my feeling was: connection. Our session with her led us through what we needed to focus on in order to process the past and move in a healthy way into an uncertain future. The following are the words that poured out of me. Perhaps they are for you...

The Holy Spirit is purple

A connector.
A tool for connection
A guide to connect us

to let us know we are not alone.
to remind us we are more than enough.
to encourage us to take the next step.

The step that connects me to

my calling
the world
another's soul

Thereby sharing the spirit with another person
And connecting the Divine to the dark corners of the world
where it is dark but with enough light

..........................shimmers purple.

Thank you, Dr. Shannon. I agree: the Breath of the Almighty, the Holy Spirit, a main force behind writing “The Rainbow Chronicles.”

Yellow is not my “favorite “ color but i love it. I think of the Holy Spirit as yellow. Yellow is the color of LIGHT and Brightness. The Holy Spirit brings light to all the dark places. I feel alive when I’m in a lot of light.
