Faith, prayer, hope

There’s a difference between hope and wishes.

Wishes aren’t dependent on me. They are dependent on luck. Or an external force that has no investment in the person or situation.

Hope requires investment by someone. It is a belief that when I’ve done all I can, God will fill in the gaps.

It’s a meeting of heaven and earth.

Hope is incarnational.

“And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
