The Beautiful Mess of Transformation

Faith can feel like risky business. I know it does for me sometimes. It’s not a passive, comfortable state of being. It demands something from us. It asks us to step into the unknown and trust that something beautiful is waiting on the other side of our fear.

When we truly seek peace, we can’t just wish for it. We have to dive headfirst into the turmoil. We have to face the conflicts in our lives and in the world around us. It means having hard conversations and finding calm in the middle of a storm.

When we pursue justice, we’re essentially holding up a mirror. We show others the parts of themselves and society that are difficult to look at. Not everyone wants to see that reflection, and that can create friction. It’s a path that requires immense courage.

And love? Love asks us to be vulnerable. It’s about holding that same mirror up to ourselves. It’s about seeing our own flaws, our own biases, and our own areas for growth. It’s about choosing to love anyway—both ourselves and others.

Let’s be honest: we don’t always have it all figured out. I certainly don’t always know who I am from one day to the next. I don’t always know what the right thing to do is. But we aren’t meant to stay stuck in that uncertainty. We are called to grow, to change, to transform.

This process of transformation is rarely neat and tidy. It’s often painful. It can be incredibly messy. But it is always beautiful. Faith is the belief that this messy, beautiful process is worth every single risk. It’s the trust that on the other side of the struggle, we’ll find a better, truer version of ourselves.

What is one risk your faith is asking you to take today?

Until Everyone Hears,
