Epiphany

Epiphany is a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple or commonplace occurrence or experience. John Wesley experienced such an epiphany during his heart-warming salvation experience: "About a quarter before nine, while he was describing the change which God works in the heart through faith in Christ, I felt my heart strangely warmed. I felt I did trust in Christ, Christ alone, for salvation; and an assurance was given me that He had taken away my sins, even mine, and saved me from the law of sin and death."

Epiphany can also be a revelation or manifestation of the divine, or the actual appearance of a god to a human, or a divine disclosure.

My prayer for you is that by putting acts of #HolyMischief into practice, you can have moments of "epiphany" in ways that speak to the deepest parts of your heart.

Here are some ways that you can use the items in your box:

  1. Coloring Cards: Spend some time coloring one card. As you do, listen to some calming music. Try to eliminate distractions. As you color, pray for God to bring someone to your mind. Pray for that person as you color. When you are finished, write a note on the back and mail or deliver that card to the person you prayed for.
  2. Gratitude Jar: Make this a practice for at least 30 days. Write down one new thing that you are thankful for each day. Don't repeat anything. Some days this will be easy. Other may take a few moments. Once you start looking for the blessings in your life, you'll be amazed at the the placed God is working in your life that you took for granted!
  3. Epiphany Card: place this on your refrigerator or bathroom mirror. When you see it, may it be a reminder that God is with you and working around you always.
  4. Notecard: use this to send a note to someone anonymously. Put some gold stars in it and maybe a gift card for coffee or quesadillas.

You may have other items in your box. Each one is different. Use your creativity for the other item(s) and let me know what kind of #HolyMishief you choose to do.

Please let me know what epiphanies you experience! If possible, share your story on social media and tag me while using the #holymischief hashtag!

And if the Holy Spirit moves you to use the items in a different way, then by all means listen! I'm praying for you and know that many revelations and manifestations of God will be at work during the first part of 2022.

Until Everyone Hears,

Dr. K
