What’s next?

What's next with #HolyMischief?

I don’t know what’s next. That seems to be what people keep asking me. A book was next but its on hold. Boxes were next but the launch is slow. A pop-up event but the turnout was low. A trip was next...its still in the planning stages.

I always thought that when I spoke my “what’s next” into existence it would be BIG. In my head, these things are.

But BIG is subjective. It isn’t always about the amount of people but often is about the impact. Perhaps the box idea isn’t about the amount of subscribers but what I need to learn about logistics and marketing channels. Perhaps the pop up event was about an intimate gathering that was good for the soul. Perhaps the book is waiting for that one perfect story that is being written as we speak.

Each day I count my blessings but unfortunately my failures haunt me throughout the day. The only way to power through them is to transform them into teachable moments where I see God transforming us in the midst of the experience.

I don’t know what’s next. But Isaiah didn’t either. He looked at God and the angels and their glory and power that must have shaken him to the core and said, “Here I am Lord! Send me!” He looked at God in a vision that I could probably on guess was terrifying and said a loud and enthusiastic YES!

May that declaration always be what’s next for me. And may you have the courage to make that what is next for you too!

Until Everyone Hears,

Dr. K

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
