Building together

prayer, faith, holy mischief

We can do so much more when we work together.

I've done an activity with our staff a couple of times. It's called "The Spaghetti Challenge." You can find out the details of the challenge here: https://www.marshmallowchallenge.com/

What I love about the challenge is that it requires our team to work together in ways that they haven't before. Typically engineers do well (thankfully) but so do Kindergarteners.

Kindergarteners tend to build a prototype quickly and that allows them to fail and learn at a more rapid rate.

Each time we do this activity, I notice that we definitely do more than we could on our own. I can actually see each person using their gifts to build a marshmallow/spaghetti tower.

That's how it is with the kingdom of God. We can do so much more together than we can on our own. Once we seek the kingdom of God, true transformation happens in ways that we can't do on our own.

The very nature of God is connectional/relational (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit).

I encourage you to make connections this week. Build relationships and in doing so know that you are building the kingdom in ways you couldn't do alone.

Until Everyone Hears,

Dr. K

Matthew 6:33: “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

P.S. - I posted a new challenge this week: The Hug Challenge! It will help you in your search for the kingdom of God, You can check it out here:
