What does your fridge say about you?

Jesus and a micro-brewery
Sometimes it’s helpful to have visual reminders of who we are, where we’ve been, or what we believe. Many of us have a refrigerator like this; or a lap top or journal or car.
I have one friend that has different colored magnets on her car that she encourages strangers to rearrange so that her car becomes an always transforming work of public art.
This refrigerator door is behind the bar at Line Creek Brewery, a local brewery where I live. We filmed some testimonies during a sermon series themed after the TV Show Cheers. Time and time again I kept looking at all the magnets on this door. Most of these are from other breweries. A few are from a running group. One is Homer Simpson.
After looking at it for a day, I thought it needed a little bit of Holy Mischief. I added my bendable, posable Jesus to the door. I imagined Jesus meeting people where they are. In a place enjoying the company of friends while seeking a respite from the madness of the world.
Look around you. If someone else saw what you see, what would they say about you? What’s on your fridge that tells people who you are? What’s missing? And are you open to seeing Jesus meeting you wherever you go?
Until Everyone Hears,

Ephesians 2:10
New Living Translation
10 For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
