Waiting vs Searching

We got a new dog a few weeks ago. She’s pretty adorable. When you do something she hasn’t heard before like squeak a toy or make a new noise around her, she’ll perk her ears up and tilt her head. It kinda melts my heart each time.

She reminds me that there is still wonder to be discovered in the world. We just have to be open to finding it.

Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Sometime the very thing that will renew our mind falls right into our lap but it’s lazy to think it will always do so. Often we have to go searching for it. And when we do we will discover along the way that the thing we find is so much more meaningful because of the journey we took to find it. 

May each day bring you “ah-ha” moments that renew your mind, melt your heart, and give you a story to tell the world.
